Kundalini Yoga Class

Saturday Afternoon, October 3rd, Sanctuary Session 2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Kundalini Yoga, the Yoga of Awareness, was brought to the Western world in 1969 by Yogi Bhajan.  It consists of simple yogic techniques that can be enjoyed by everyone, no matter their age or physical ability.  It is a complete science that includes breath awareness, yoga postures, sound vibration, meditation and relaxation.

Kundalini Yoga strengthens your entire nervous and glandular system.  It prepares the mind for optimal clarity, enlivens your sense of awareness and gives you greater energy to express your creativity.  A Kundalini yoga class can clear your mind, set the immune system, and orient your consciousness to create happiness and health in your life.

About Yoga….

Yoga is a science for liberating the soul by bringing the consciousness, the mind and the body to a stage of integration.  Yoga is an integrated science that leads a divided being back to wholeness and health.    “The Tree of Yoga” by B.K.S. Iyengar

What is Yoga?  Yoga is a family of spiritual practices.  Yoga means to unite, to balance all aspects of ourselves – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  There are many schools of yoga.  Their main focus ranges from physical conditioning to meditation to selfless service to a combination of many practices.  They all have the same goal – to unit, to balance, and to bring us into alignment and harmony.  Yoga is seen as a means to physical health, mental and emotional balance and well being and spiritual mastery.  It will wake up your body, sharpen your mind and clarify your spirit.  It teaches techniques and awareness to stay healthy.  It is a path towards a deeper meaning in life.  Study and practice yoga as an inspired guide to self-knowing and self-understanding.  It has been practiced by every religion and can be done by anyone if done gradually and according to instruction.
