Helen graduated from Northern Illinois University with BS degree in Accounting and MBA in Finance. She passed the CPA examination then and spent the next 20 years in the business world. She retired in 1997 and began her new life as a Reflexologist.
She studied reflexology at the International Institute of Reflexology, St. Petersburg, FL, and was certified in 2003. This education was followed by advanced courses in reflexology through international teachers; Father Joseph Eugster of Taiwan in the Father Joseph Method, Dr. Jesus Manzanares of Barcelona, Spain in “Advanced Training in the NeuroPhysiological Basis of Reflexology”, Lynne Booth of London, England in “Vertical Reflexology”, and Dr. Martine Faure-Alderson of Paris, France in “Cranio-Sacral Reflexology, Levels I - III”.
She is a member of the Reflexology Association of Illinois (having served as Secretary and latter as Treasurer), the International Council of Reflexologist, and the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professional (ABMP).
Helen then studied with Dr. AlixSandra Parness, Founder of the Inner Focus School for Soul Directed Advanced Energy Healing, and completed her 4 year program, becoming a certified Soul Directed Advanced Energy Healer.
Helen's practice is in Palatine, Illinois, She is a volunteer with the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois and The Wellness Place, a support center for people in cancer treatments located in Palatine.
She is currently involved in a NIH funded 3 year study researching the effects of reflexology in stage III and IV breast cancer patients as a reflexologist.
